The USR/CO's United States Radio Control Monster Truck Fest will take place on September 13, 2008 @ Sharkey's R/C Raceway in Wallkill, New York. This event will sanction R/C Side-by-side Monster Truck Racing and a Show-N-Shine event. So, those of you who have trucks and wish to shine those kits up and bring them out to play, do so. You wouldn't want to miss this racing/concourse event. More information will be available soon and directions.
On August 23, 2008 The United States Radio Control Organization's Renegades RC Monster Truck Challenge will be kicking off @ Sharkey's R/C Raceway in Wallkill, New York. Side-by-Side R/C Monster Truck Racing will be the program for the day and will include nitro trucks for those who wish to try something different for a change. It will consist of elimination style bracket racing and during each advancement the trucks will earn points. Don't miss out on this exciting event. Directions will be available soon.
NEW CHAMPION IS CROWNED!
Team RCE-MS Group has captured it's 2nd thunder series title. The 1st truck was the Crown Trophy Racer in 2007 and now The R/CMTRA Racer for 2008. Team R/CMTRA will be gunning for more titles during the 2008 racing season. The team will be planning a lot of new ideas for their race trucks in hoping to knock out Team Defalco and many others.
Monster News Column is back check out the pages.... The 2008 R/CMTRA Thunder Series Nationals will be taking place in Barnstormers RC Raceway in Chester, New York. The following classes will be sanctioned: Solid Axle, 1/8th Scale Buggy, Production Monster Trucks, Brushless, and 1/8th Scale Truggy. Trophy awards will be for each class from 1st thru 3rd. Doors open at 9:00AM, registration begins promptly at 9:30AM til 10:30AM and racing begins at 11:00AM. We will run 3 qualifying rounds and then Mains. Minutes for each qualifying rounds will be determined on race day during the drivers meeting. Please be prompt so that we can kick off the event with minimal distractions. Team DRCR debuted their version of The Brutus Monster Truck in Radio Control. This truck looked very promising and was very good in action for it's first racing event in the R/CPRO-MT Series. Look for this truck to make a very loud bark out of the competition. Also, they have a few other trucks in the woodworks and you can view more in the Monster News Column.

CAN ANYONE STOP HIM?
It seems as though another dog has entered the R/CMTRA Circuit. This dog comes from the Buckland stables out of PA. So, this year we have 2 dogs who wishes to battle it out as to who is the baddest dog in the circuit. Good luck to both beast as to who will earn themselves the Scooby Snack award for 2008....
The R/CPRO-MT kicked off with the 2008 racing season on an off-road grassy track. Then we decided to change the traction 2 more times on the same day in making the event a bit more challenging. (Though the nature of the change was not under our control) We needed to make anything possible in sanctioning this 1st race. Pictures of the event will be available shortly.
